Julia is a dancer and teacher currently based in NJ and the Greater NYC area. In 2017, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgian Court University with a double major in dance performance and psychology, with a minor in dance therapy. While in college, she auditioned and was selected to work with choreographers and artists such as Sidra Bell, Randy James, Beau Hancock, Silvana Cardell, Hee Ra Yoo, Steve Vaughn, Kata Mejia, and Charles Anderson. In addition to the annual spring showcase, she performed at the American College Dance Festival in 2016 and 2017. Julia continued her training after graduation in June 2017 at the American Dance Festival’s Dance Professionals Workshop in Durham, NC. At the workshop, she had the opportunity to study with teachers such as Jennifer Nugent, Nia Love, Charles Anderson, and Saar Harari. During summer 2017, she began performed with Introspective Movement Project, a Philly-based contemporary jazz company, and with the Warwick Dance Collective, a contemporary dance company based in Warwick, NY.

In 2018, she attended the American Dance Festival 6 Week Summer Dance Intensive as a Staff Assistant Scholarship recipient, and worked in the Performances department of the festival while maintaining a full-time dance schedule.

Since graduation, Julia has performed work by choreographers Melissa Padham-Maas, Shawn Rawls, Vanessa Long, Joe Monteleone, and Sonia James Pennington, and is a company member of the Warwick Dance Collective. She has performed with Emotions Physical Theater, Long2 Dance Co., Introspective Movement Project, and Yoo and Dancers. In June 2019, she joined Borne Dance Company in New York City.

Performance highlights include venues such as the Dixon Place, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, the Tank Theater NYC, the Triad Theater, Sugarloaf Performing Arts Center, the Actors Fund Arts Center, and the Strand Theater.

Currently, she teaches ballet, lyrical, pointe, contemporary, and tap at three NJ/NY-based studios. She is also a certified Pure Barre teacher at Pure Barre Livingston. In 2019, she will be continuing her education at the Joffrey Ballet School in Genoa, Italy, and at the Peridance Capezio BLUEPRINT Intensive in NYC.

Julia looks forward to a great year of teaching and performing in the Greater NYC/Greater Philadelphia area.
